Wizz Air Launches from Coventry Airport

Coventry Airport is flying high today after Wizz Air, the largest low cost - low fare airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced it will be commencing flights from Coventry in 2007.

The airline will be operating a 3 times weekly (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) service to Katowice, the capital of South Poland from 28 July 2007 using an 180 seater Airbus A320 aircraft.

As the only real low-cost airport in the UK, we can offer the quality service and fast turn-around times that are key to a low-fares airline. Coventry and the West Midlands region has strong historical links with Poland and a service to Katowice will be great news for the Polish community, businesses and leisure travellers”
