Coventry Airport Celebrates British Food Fortnight
Flying overseas usually means looking forward to enjoying food from the destination country but at Coventry Airport we are taking the time to remind our passengers just what is great about good British food!
British Food Fortnight runs from 23 September to 8 October 2006 and Skypartners UK, who operate Max Beans’ Café at Coventry Airport have put together a new menu based on traditional British fayre for passengers to tuck into before they fly. Favourites such as Faggots and Peas, Shepherd’s Pie and Apple Crumble with custard all feature and are going down a treat with travellers!
Emma Priestley, Operations Director of Max Beans’ Café said ‘We aim to offer our customers high quality, home cooked food and saw British Food Fortnight as a great way to celebrate all that is best about British cooking. We have even teamed up with a neighbouring baker and butcher to enable us to use fresh local produce’.
Chris Orphanou, Managing Director added ‘Instead of serving the usual airport ‘fast food’ options, we are delighted that our passengers are able to enjoy superior regional cooking in a relaxed atmosphere’.
