Coventry Airport Support Is On Form

16th August 2004

Coventry Airport has received 2663 feedback forms registering support for the provision of a new terminal building and car park at the airport, from airport passengers since the resurgence of passenger flights at the end of March this year.

634 (over 23%) of the forms are from 'CV' postcodes, showing the level of local support for the airport and that large numbers of local people are taking advantage of the opportunity of low fares flights from their local airport.

Each form is destined for Warwick District Council Planning and Engineering Department who will soon meet to discuss the March 2003 planning application for the permanent passenger terminal.

Managing Director of Coventry Airport, Bill Savage, said: "When the passengers pass through the airport facilities they are given the opportunity to complete a feedback form which is on the reverse side of a letter explaining why the airport is using temporary facilities and detail about the airport's aspirations for the future. Passengers have welcomed this opportunity to register their support for the airport both by ticking the box to support, but also writing their comments and feelings about the airport's development."

The feedback forms span customers originating in the United States, Italy, Spain, Australia, France and from throughout the UK and channel islands.

Members of the public wishing to register their support for the airport should email info@coventryairport.co.uk
