Coventry Airport Reveals Consultation Makeup
23rd June 2004
Coventry Airport has today announced the makeup of its reconstituted consultative committee.
The airport confirmed the list of individuals and organisations that have been invited to join the process by the Chairman Lord Peter Snape.
Lord Snape said, "It is vital that the consultation process represents the range of stakeholders affected by the airport. I feel that I have been able to invite people who represent the variety of affected groups, who recognise both the issues and opportunities associated with the airport's evolution. Equally important is keeping the group to a size that will be effective and progressive."
The following individuals and representatives of organisations were invited by letter to join the committee on June 9:
Campaign Against Expansion of Coventry Airport (CAECA) Lia Border
Coventry Airport Tenants and Users (CATUA) Ron Walker
Chamber of Commerce Peter Burns MBE
Coventry City Council Cllr. Ann Lucas
Coventry Trades Council Fred Davies
Local Resident Alan Marshall
Local Resident Bernard Poole
Rugby Borough Council Cllr. Ron Backholler
Stratford On Avon District Council Cllr. Alan Akeister
Warwick District Council Gary Stevens
Warwickshire Wildlife Trust Andrew Thompson
The airport has already received acceptances from the majority of those invited, and hopes for positive responses from the two final organisations in the coming days.
