Welcome to Coventry AirportCoventry Airport is ideally situated close to the Midlands motorway network. The M1, M6, M40 and M42 are all easily accessible with the M25 and outer London being less than 90 minutes away. Business and general aviation is well catered for at the western end of the aerodrome with many improvements in the pipeline.Handling agents are available 24/7 with executive lounge facilities, catering on request and car parking to enable a fast, discreet and efficient service for the discerning traveller. Onward ground transportation can be organised on request, as can hotel accommodation. Hangars and engineering facilities are available as is the option of bowser fuel delivery for AVGAS users.


 

 


Fixed Based Operator

Blue City Aviation has a private lounge with complimentary tea/coffee, satellite TV and wireless internet facilities. A VIP mini bus is provided for passenger transfers however direct airside transfer to vehicles can also be arranged. Operations are fully equipped for all flight planning needs. Blue City Engineering provides a heated and secure hangar facility, aircraft towing, nitrogen and oxygen uplifts, toilet servicing and a JAR licenced line maintenance engineer.

Almat Flying Club Coventry Airport Transair Shop Coventry Airport


Almat Flying Club, situated in the GAT 1 (General Aviation Terminal 1) Coventry Airport West accept landing and parking fees from all visiting light aircraft (fixed wing) up to three tons.


Offering booking out facilities (internet weather, notams, flight planning), aircraft fuelling, tea, coffee and snack machine; there is also a visitor’s lounge and a separate dedicated flight briefing room.

Local accommodation, meals and taxi’s can also be arranged.

On contact with Coventry Tower ATC please ask for the west apron. If staying for more than a few hours it may be necessary to re-position your aircraft. Please make Almat staff aware of the duration of your stay.


Transair Shop: The Transair pilot’s shop, in association with Almat Flying Club, is located in the GAT 1.  Offering a wide range of equipment, access is via Almat.


Coffee Shop: Situated in the GAT, the Almat Coffee Shop offers fresh tea, coffee, sandwiches, cakes and a selection of hot food (potatoes, panninis, toasted sandwiches and a breakfast baguette).


Inside and outside seating areas are available, giving excellent views of the airport.

Flying Schools and Private Pilot Training

Quality private pilot instruction and aircraft hire in a friendly club atmosphere since 1954. The group was founded by a small number of workers at the nearby Armstrong Whitworth factory, with membership being made available to the public when the factory closed.

Our Mission is to: “encourage and carry out all activities and interest appertaining to the sport of flying and, in particular, to foster low cost flying”

We are able to deliver this by operating on a not-for-profit basis with all income in excess of our costs going back into the aeroplanes and clubhouse facilities.
