The Private Pilots Licence for Helicopters (PPL(H))

To gain the PPL(H) requires a minimum of 45 hours flying of which at least 10 hours must be solo. All flying is undertaken under expert supervision and in accordance with the Civil Aviation Authority's approved syllabus for the JAR PPL(H). Groundschool is included and there are seven multiple choice examinations which are taken in house. Flight training can be undertaken in either the Robinson R22 two-seat helicopter or the R44 four-seat helicopter or Sikorsky 269 CBI.

The ideal start or fantastic gift for those considering formal training or looking to fulfill a personal dream. The trial lesson provides a real insight into helicopter flight and counts towards the PPL(H).
