Trial of Southbound Standard Departure Routings and Noise Preferential Routings

Following a 3 month trial period of standard southbound departure routings and noise preferential routes the airport has now decided to extend the trial for runway 23 departures only for a period of 3 months. The extended trial will continue from the original trial period which commenced on the 1st March 2007 and will run until the 1st September 2007 12:00 hrs.

This means ThomsonFly 737-300/500 series aircraft will conduct an early left hand turn at 500 feet above ground level when using the south westerly runway 23.

Following feedback from local residents in was decided by the airport to revert back to the original departure route for runway 05 (North Easterly) departures.

The airport now welcomes feedback regarding the extended trial of the 23 departures routes via the feedback form link below, in addition all other noise complaints should be directed via the original complaints process.
